To accommodate for social distancing, class participants will be emailed a hyperlink to download the video, watch it, and reply with your thoughts.

After viewing the pre-recorded class, Brad would be happy to set up a Zoom or Google Meeting “face to face” chat to discuss your thoughts or plans on creating your own rain garden or even a drier native plant garden.

If you have a laptop with a camera or webcam for a desktop computer, we can look at photos, plans of your landscape, and even share a screen of Google Maps imagery during such a chat. Or we can talk over the phone too. Respond via email and let’s figure out a way to stay connected!

Class Summary:

Plant a resilient rain garden in that soggy spot of the yard; sequester rainwater, attract pollinators, and create amphibian habitat!

All classes are $10 per person, or $40 when you register for all five classes by January 31st. Members receive a discount or may use a coupon by calling or emailing the Arboretum office, depending on their membership level. Check the back of your membership card for your membership level’s benefits.

Native Plant School Winter 2020 Schedule:

The Dyck Arboretum of the Plains offers numerous workshops that encourage the use of native plants in landscaping. Native plants are drought tolerant, ornamental, and provide food and shelter to wildlife. A landscape rich with native plants can be enjoyed for its beauty and the wealth of birds and pollinators it attracts.
