Wetland (Seed) Wednesdays (@ Kauffman Museum)

Get involved with the Newton’s R. Michael Rhoades Wetland Park at the grassroots level (pun intended)! We will be collecting native prairie plant seed to incorporate around the drier perimeter of the wetland site (4th event of 4). We have been granted special permission to collect seed from two diverse restored prairies, at Dyck Arboretum and Kauffman Museum (6:00 p.m. till dark). Brad Guhr from the Dyck Arboretum of the Plains will guide us on how to harvest the seed. Volunteers should expect to be walking in tall prairie (long pants recommended).
